• Technical Field Observations Field Book: Purchase a technical observations field book from Snow Pit Technologies. This book is highly recommended for any backcountry user who regularly documents observations.
• Avalanche Terminology Encyclopedia: This link provides definitions for many of the technical terms avalanche advisories use.
• Snow, Weather and Avalanches: Observational Guidelines for Avalanche Programs in the United States: This links to the American Avalanche Association website, where you can download the SWAG in segments. This is a great resource for anyone passing their observations along to avalanche centers and other users.
